Spring Travels North At 5 MPH
Marcus Coates
David Connearn
Alec Finlay
(2005)
You are invited to enter a prototype design for a lightweight vehicle
for the season of spring, which is traditionally thought to travel north
at a steady speed of 5mph.
The proposal should consist of a single drawing with full specifications
indicated. The brief envisages a small scale moon-body vehicle, with a
simple platform capable of transporting Spring securely. There is no limit
to the number of chassis or wheels.
Designs will be assessed on their ability to maintain the specified speed
over long distances. Additional points will be awarded for employing an
engine and fuel that is environmentally sensitive.
